For the month of November The Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library present a limited collection of work by Artist Darby Corna Vinciguerra. The Artist is also generously offering her painting Friends for silent auction, opening bid $50. All proceeds from the sale of this painting will be donated back to The Friends in honor of National Friends of the Library week. To bid, please email Gallery@friendsglenrocklibrary.org.
Darby developed her love for art and design growing up in her mother's art studio and on her father’s architectural sites in postindustrial Cleveland. Darby has a degree from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with concentrations in studio art and fashion. After NYU, Darby created works for private clients while attending Parson’s School of Design where she honed her skills and received an additional degree in Fashion Design. She went on to design for the fashion houses of Calvin Klein, Club Monaco, American Eagle, Tommy Hilfiger and Tory Burch where Darby worked on the launch of Tory Sport focusing on handbags and accessories. Her designs have been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Elle, New York Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, WWD, Instyle, People Style Watch, Marie Claire & Lucky. Gigi Hadid, Tory Burch, Jordana Brewster, Hannah Simone and Machine Gun Kelly all own her work. Saks Fifth Avenue, Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales department stores have all sold Darby’s accessories. Currently, Darby is working privately with clients in New York, Northern New Jersey & Cleveland creating custom palettes and multi series pieces. Recently, Darby was inducted into the Fine Arts Hall of Fame at Magnificat High School in Rocky River, Ohio, her alma mater.
