July Gallery Exhibit

July Gallery Exhibit

Take a break from the heat and enjoy the photography of Daniel Perry in The Gallery through the end of July.  From August through December 2025 The Gallery will be closed while the Library undergoes renovations.  Locally based wildlife photographer, Daniel Perry, is an internationally recognized conservationalist.  He is currently photographing wildlife in Madagascar.  In his own words, “Madagascar is a crazy place in which almost 90% of all plant and animal species are found nowhere else in the world. I will be traveling around the country to photograph many lemurs along with other wildlife from the desert southwest to the eastern rainforests and the western deciduous forests. So much of Madagascar's wildlife is under threat because it is endemic and can be found nowhere else- the land that they live on is very valuable.”

From conceptual storytelling to refined visual studies, these photographs are the result of sustained inquiry and creative risk-taking. Students were challenged to think deeply about what they wanted to say, and how best to say it through the lens.
