New Jersey Makers Day

Please join us for our "NJ Makers Day” celebration on Saturday, March 25th. NJMD is a state-wide initiative for public libraries to promote STEAM activities. This all-ages event will have many fun and interesting projects to explore. Check back soon for more details.

To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we are offering 45 minute pre-registered timeslots beginning at 10am. Registration opens Monday, March 6th at 10am.

Pumpkin Painting

For grades K-8

Registration opens September 15th at 10 AM.

Join us on the front lawn of the library to paint and decorate a real pumpkin! We will be using paint so please dress accordingly! The program will be help downstairs in the Community Room in case of inclement weather.

There are two registration links, one for grades K-5 and one for grades 6-8. Be sure to sign up for the correct age group or you may lose your spot.

New Jersey Makers Day

Please join us for the return of our popular "NJ Makers Day” celebration on Saturday, March 26th. NJMD is a state-wide initiative for public libraries to promote STEAM activities. This day is extra special for us–it’s the kickoff to the Library’s Centennial Celebrations! From origami and twirligigs to simple LED flashlights and arduino demonstrations, students of all ages will have many fun and interesting projects to explore. To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we are offering 45 minute pre-registered timeslots beginning at 10am. Registration is open.

Adult Coloring and Paper Craft

Wednesday, July 15th at 7:00pm

This will be a virtual coloring class for adults and high school age young people.  We will chat together while we color and make a paper wind catcher/paper bells.  One day prior to the event you will receive an email with a coloring page to print*. Text weight paper will work for this project but you may want to print onto card stock for more durability.*

Supplies needed:
Printer*
Colored Pencils, Markers, Gel Pens, etc.*
Scissors

String, sewing thread, embroidery thread or dental floss

Glue stick or craft glue

Paper clip

A nickel

Optional supplies:
Pencil Sharpener
Scrap Paper for color testing

*If you do not have access to a printer, card stock or colored pencils we have a solution.  We have arranged with Mail & More in Glen Rock to provide you with these items.  You may stop in the store during business hours and pick up any or all of these items.  They will be free but please only pick up the items you need.  Supplies of pencils are limited so they will be on a first come first serve basis.  Pencils are yours to keep so you can join in our next Adult Coloring and Paper Crafts class.
